October 17th through the 23rd

Hi church!

Well, this Sunday is the fourth Sunday of the month, which means that we won't be gathering at Jammin' Java on Sunday morning.  Instead, this weekend is designated for a Service Worship project, but we haven't actually come up with one of those.  So...what would you like to do?  Got an idea for another community we could join for worship?  A great museum exhibit?  A hike?  Let us know!

Also, for longer-term planning, please note that this weekend is the first of three in a row when we will not be gathering at Jammin' Java.  Next weekend is the fifth Sunday of the month, so we won't be there that Sunday (the 30th) either.  However, it is Halloween weekend, and I've heard rumors of a very spooky party being cooked up for Friday evening (the 28th).  Watch this space for deets!  (And yes, if it makes you more comfortable, you can call it a harvest party.  A harvest party with zombies and ghouls.)

And the first weekend in November, when we would normally be gathering a Java, we won't be there, because our JJ hosts have a Really Big Show (of some kind) going on instead.  I think it's Bieber or Spongebob or something.  So instead, we're going to try again for a Service Worship project.  Wish us luck.

Then, we'll finally be back at Java on Sunday, November 11th, for one of my favorite kinds of services:  an All-Ages Service!  (Way better than Bieber or Spongebob - no kidding.)

And that's the news.  Hope to see y'all soon, despite our wandering ways!

Peace,
Mike Croghan
