As school is winding down for the kids, and we are entering a new rhythm of life, gearing up for the crazy schedules of summer, I find it is very easy to get caught up in schedule-watching and thinking ahead. I encourage you (and myself!) to stop and take some time to reflect about what it is that makes you get up in the mornings, motivates you, lights a passion in your heart. Spend time doing those things and living fully and richly in those moments - whether it is spending time with your family, enjoying the beautiful outdoors and creation that God, our creator, has gifted us with, or spending time with friends you love.
Live, and live fully and
abundantly, and live now!
And now...here's what's on the table for this week and the next few weeks.
Tonight!! Karaoke returns at the
Lamb Center! From 6:30 - 8:00 pm, we will be singing together and eatin' pizza. Come out and enjoy the time together and be inspired by the opportunity to share some joy with the Lamb Center folks.
After a two week hiatus from
Jammin' Java, we will return (at 10am on Sunday) and our very own Amy and Karen will lead us in a service on Prayer. We look forward to experiencing this service, which will include prayer stations.
Next weekend, a bunch of us will be heading out on another one of CT's epic camping trips! We will be camping at
Prince William Forest south of Manassas. Our very own Tina will be sending details via the corelist. If you are unable to come for the weekend, come at least for the day to hang out with us. That is the benefit of camping not too far away from it all, but far enough away to "get away from it all." If you are interested in attending and are not on our corelist, please
contact us and we'll be sure you get the information you need.
Also upcoming is the
Wild Goose Festival, a celebration of justice, music, spirituality, and art, from June 23-26, held in Shakori Hills, NC. Join a bunch of CT folks, friends from all over the world, and an incredible lineup of
musicians,
speakers,
storytellers,
artists, and
practitioners of social justice - it'll be an incredible time!
